Make every input intentional.

Sifu Mobile supports touch controls and controllers. Start with the input method you can use comfortably, then learn defense, movement and camera control before chasing combos.

Read the touch interface

The official mobile screenshots show a movement area on the left and action buttons on the right. Use the game’s own onboarding and current prompts to learn the commands on your installed version.

Our suggested setup routine: first move without attacking, then turn the camera, then practice one defensive response. Add offense only when those inputs feel deliberate. A small, repeatable test is easier to diagnose than pressing everything in a busy encounter.

Connect a controller on iPhone or iPad

Put your compatible Bluetooth controller into pairing mode using its manufacturer’s instructions. Open Bluetooth settings on your iPhone or iPad and select the controller. Apple notes that some controllers can also connect through a suitable USB data cable.

After pairing, open Sifu and test movement, camera and defense in a low-pressure situation. Phone-level pairing and correct in-game input are separate checks. Follow the prompts for your connected device rather than translating a console button guide from memory.

Touch or controller?

Choose touch when…Choose a controller when…
You want a session without carrying an accessory. You already have a compatible controller and prefer physical inputs.
You can reach actions without covering the fight. You want your hands away from the game’s display.
You are ready to learn the phone interface. You are comfortable pairing and checking an accessory.

This is a practical comparison of input comfort, not a device benchmark or a ranking of controller brands.

Learn actions before button strings

Sloclap’s original combat explanation separates blocking, parrying, avoiding attacks and moving out of danger. Learn what your defense does before building long attack sequences. For touch play, practice the movement and action areas together slowly enough to notice which input failed.

Try a three-pass routine: one pass to observe, one to defend, and one to add a short response. That routine is our practice suggestion; it does not assume a fixed mobile button layout or timing window.

If input is not behaving as expected

Separate connection problems from timing mistakes. First check whether the phone sees the controller, then whether the game accepts movement. If those work but you still take hits, return to a simple defense drill instead of changing several settings at once.

Before your next round.
